This is a very nice example of a dark "horizon blue" wool covered Model 1877 French 2 liter canteen, complete with original cover and full length leather shoulder strap, with the original strings connecting to the cork and plug. Amazingly, the cork stopper is present but the cork is broken horizontally as shown, but is still attached. Overall condition of the canteen and cover is good. We've only had a very few of
