Egypt, Kingdom. An Order of Merit, Grand Cross Star consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac topped by initials “FH” in(Nishan al Istaqaq ). Instituted in 1953. In silver, a ten point star alternating between five smooth silver gilt rays and five faceted silver rays, the obverse medallion in white and blue enamels, a royal crown at 12 oclock, the reverse presents a single pin assembly, marked with a silver fineness of . 900, measures 83. 9 mm (w) x 85. 4mm (h), weighs 133. 08 grams, enamels intact, in very fine condition.
