It also contains many elements of the traditional Chinese Boxing. The designation Goju Ryu was created by Chojun Miyagi (1888 1953). A Kobudo Master asked one of Miyagi's best students about the name of his Martial Arts school he practiced. But he could not give an correct answer. So he came up with the name "Half Hard Style". He reported this incident to
