Here we have a very nice example of a 20th Century Spanish Diplomat's sword, most likely from during the rule of Spanish General Francisco Franco. He ruled Spain from 1939 to 1975 as a dictator, assuming the title Caudillo. The sword is definitely of the Dress or Parade type, not intended for actual use.
