This is a very nice condition example of a Whitney Navy percussion revolver. It was purchased from a private collector, and appears to have seen much service during the war, and possibly afterwards. This gun retains strong traces of original finish, though most has faded to a nice gray patina. There is peppering throughout, and definitely trades of past rust and use, so this was a revolver that saw actual use. This
