DE METTE-LIAZA, Stella Autographs Singers U-Z French romantic composer (1855-1899) whoItalian American mezzo soprano (1891 1989), who performed under the stage name of Stella de Mette, and sang in opera houses across Europe and the United States from the early 1910s to about 1942. Signed photograph, shown in the title role of Bizet's Carmen, inscribed in Italian at the San Carlo Opera company, dated in 1921. Size is 7. 5 x 10 inches, some creases and bends, as well as rust stains on verso, otherwise in good condition.
