Here we have two very typical bayonets as they were often designed around the turn of the 20th century

The Parrott rifle was first developed in 1859–1860

The silvering has deeply patinated with some oxidation but really gives a desirable look to this piece

Each varied slightly in markings and detail design but was accepted as the best short sword and tool with which to equip Artillerymen of the period

Over the chamber it is marked  Œ / WG / STEYR / 1894

This is an interesting find, a Sheepskin cap designed in a similar manner as a flight helmet but these were actually issued to ground crew and fliers alike especially on the eastern front. This cap is a nice large size approximately 7 3 8 (57cm) with a single metal button closure.
