Now this is a fantastic memento from towards the end of the war. The photos in the album are from late 1944 to the time of the surrender in 1945 and possibly later. The album itself belonged to Seaman 1st Class James Rusty Turner, an African American serving in the US Navy. The album is constructed with a beautiful wood cover which does have faint etching on the face. There are approximately 97 photos with about a
