A First War Medal Bar Hold Instituted 1909Prussia: Iron Cross 2nd Class (silver frame, with iron core, magnetic, maker marked "W" (Wagner, Berlin) on the ring, 43. 5 mm); Wurttenberg: Military Merit Medal, Silver Grade, Type V (1892 1918) (silvered bronze, 28. 2 mm); and Imperial: Hindenburg Cross for Combatants (iron with a bronze coloured gilt, magnetic, maker marked "G18" on the reverse, 37. 3 mm). Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, lightly soiled
