Finland, Republic. An Order Of The Cross Of Liberty, Iii Class, Military Division, C.1942 United Republic of brushed textured underside(Vapaudenristin ritarikunta). Instituted in 1918. In gilt and blackened iron, magnetic, dated "1941" on the reverse, measuring 39 mm (w) x 65 mm (h) inclusive of its trophy of arms suspension, light contact evident on the gilt on the arms, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Cross of Liberty is one of three official orders in Finland, along with the Order of the White Rose of Finland and the Order of the Lion of Finland.
