Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a black leatherette backer and field grey wool twill liner, without visible marks, measuring 50. 96 mm (w) x 60. 73 mm (h), demonstrating
