Wagner, Richard - Autograph Note Signed Autographs Actresses - Letter S with Slezak as TannhauserStar German opera composer (1813 1883), together with Giuseppe Verdi, Wagner was the most famous creator and a dominant figure in the genre for several decades of the 19th century. Short but wonderful autograph note signed, saying that "by request, gentlemen Dr. Forster and Neumann are highly recommended". Angelo Neumann (1838 1910) and August Forster were both managers of the Leipzig Opera theater and responsible for the premiere of the Ring in
