The fruit for Lenz comes from younger vines located on some of their famous vineyards, Halenberg and Fruhlingsplatzchen, fermented dry with indigenous yeasts, and neutral vessels to keep the wine focused on fruit and terroir. The red slate soils trap heat, radiating it back to the grapes, leading to a fuller, spicy
