Polished Magnesite specimen. MAP171 serpentine From Wyloo Station in theMAP171. Magnesite (Lemon chrysoprase) rough rock, cut and polished on one side with a natural back. Chalcedony grading into silicated magnesite. Dimensions at widest points approximately 100 mm x 75 mm x 27 mm thick. Weighs 369 grams. The subtle lime green colouration is caused by the presence of nickel mineralisation. From Eucalyptus, north of Kalgoorlie , Western Australia.
