Type II, 1815 1920 issued. Of French manufacture in silver gilt, a faceted Maltese Cross with ball finials, superimposing on an enameled green laurel wreath, obverse centre depicting a superposed handmade figure of St. Ferdinand on a rare white enameled field, surrounded by an enameled blue border inscribed by AL MERITO MILITAR (To Military Merit), reverse with pin assembly and dual stays,
