Germany, Imperial. A Gold Grade Wound Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac constructed of nickel-silver(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 01 mm (w) x 43. 19 mm (h), weighing 10. 1 grams, in extremely fine condition.
