Braunschweig, Duchy. A Fire Brigade 15-Year Long Service Clasp, C.1900 United Republic of (Valgetähe teenetemärk) Instituted 1936(Feuerwehrehrenzeichen fr 15 Jahre Dienst). Instituted 28 May 1893 by the Braunschweig Fire Brigade Association. (1893 1936 issue). Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze, affixed to a silvered bronze backplate with horizontal pinback and a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), material fatigue of the ribbon evident, in overall very fine condition.
