Both shoulders are adorned with 65 mm (w) x 165 mm (h) Sergeant rank shoulder boards, the rank insignia in gold coloured bullion wire and trimmed in red embroidery, with a large "CA" ( p = Soviet Army) below the rank insignia, on a black wool base, the outer frame trimmed in a white cord. There are collar tabs sewn in place at the points on the collars, each bearing a Motor
